Mil Wizard

The short version

Everything you enter stays on your phone. Mil Wizard has no account, no server, and no analytics. We do not collect, receive, sell, or share personal data. We cannot see your data, and neither can anyone else through us.

What the app stores, and where

Your profile (grade, years of service, duty station, dependents, pays and deductions), your deployments, moves and leave, and your worksheets are stored only in the app's storage on your device. The App Store and Google Play builds also mirror this data to the phone's native storage so it survives the system clearing web storage. Nothing is transmitted to us.

Backups are files you create yourself with Download profile and save or share where you choose. They contain your data in plain form; treat them as you would any financial document.

Face ID and fingerprint

If you turn on the app lock, unlocking uses your phone's own Face ID, fingerprint or passcode through iOS or Android. The app never receives biometric data — it only learns whether the unlock succeeded.

Payday reminders

If you turn on reminders, the app schedules notifications on your device for the pay dates you choose. They are created and delivered locally by your phone; no reminder, date, or amount is sent anywhere.

The one thing the app fetches

When opened, the app requests its current pay tables (basic pay, allowances and the like) from a public file at ephemerislabs.github.io. That request contains no personal data and no identifier; it is the same request for every user. If the phone is offline, the app uses the tables it already has.

Third parties

No advertising, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs that collect data. The App Store's and Google Play's own installation and crash reporting are governed by Apple's and Google's privacy policies.

Deleting your data

Erase everything in the app removes your profile, deployments and worksheets from the device. Uninstalling the app does the same.

Children

Mil Wizard is for active duty members of the U.S. armed forces and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes and contact
